Benefit Together is a Discount Health Plan. We are a nationally prominent firm that was formed by a group of health care experts to help people save money on their health care needs and costs. We “bundle” these discount services “together” and package them into the four value-rich plans that enable us to deliver amazing cash savings to our Benefit Together members and their families. Q. Is Benefit Together an insurance plan?
No, we are not an insurance plan. Benefit Together provides you with significant discounts on a wide range of health care services and products; you will pay for services at the discounted price at the time services are received.

Q. How does a discount plan work?
Saving money on health care expenses is easy. First, you can find participating providers by using the “Find Provider” links on The Discount Plans page of our website ( or by calling Member Services at (800) 290-0523. After confirming the provider’s continued participation when making an appointment, members just show their membership card at the time of service. Members are responsible for paying all fees directly to the provider, and receive discounts at the time of payment.

Q. Do I have to file any forms to get the savings?
No. There are no forms or other paperwork to file. Providers will provide you with the network price at the time of your visit.

Q. Do I have to pay more for my family to join?
No! One of the great features of our discount plans is that your entire household can receive the discounts, even children living at college!

No. Everyone can join Benefit Together Discount Plans.

Q. Are there any age restrictions?
No, there are no age restrictions.

Q. Can I use my membership when I travel away from home?
Yes, your membership can be used at any participating provider in the United States.

Q. How long will it take me to get into the system after I sign up?
After you have filled out the appropriate information on the Benefit Together website or by calling (800) 381-0071, you will receive your membership materials and temporary membership cards in about 7-10 days. Mailed applications will take about one week longer. Members who join between the 1st and the 16th of the month are effective as soon as they receive their membership materials and temporary cards. Members who join from the 17th to the 30th/31st of the month are effective the 1st of the following month.

Q. How do I get additional membership cards?
If you need additional cards for your household, or have lost your card, please call us at (800) 381-0071. We will be happy to send additional cards to you.

Q. Can I go to a provider that does not participate?
You will only receive a discount by going to a participating Benefit Together provider. Nothing prevents you from going to any provider of your choice.

Q. What if my provider isn’t on the Benefit Together network?
We have one of the largest national networks in the business, but if your provider isn’t on the network, please give us a call at (800) 381-0071 and we will do our best to get them signed-on. You can also contact Benefit Together through the “Contact Us” link on our website ( to let us know. Meanwhile, you may want to use another one of the quality providers in our networks.

Q. There is not a provider close to my home. What do I do?
While some zip code areas may have a limited number of providers, there are usually providers within a 50-mile radius of your zip code. You can refer a provider by contacting Benefit Together through the “Contact Us” link on our website ( or by calling us at (800) 381-0071.

Q. If my eye doctor or dentist refers me to a specialist who is not in the network, do I still get a discount?
You will only receive a discount by going to a participating provider. You might try printing out a list of participating providers to share with your doctor or dentist to see if he/she could recommend any of the participating specialist locations.

Q. How many times can I or my family use the Benefit Together Discount Plan?
There are no restrictions for most of the services included. Members and their families may use the discounts as many times as needed. The only exception is for the CallMD doctors by phone service, where you are limited to 12 consultations at no charge per year.

Q. What if I already have insurance? Does Benefit Together still save me money?
Absolutely! Benefit Together includes a wide range of services, many outside the scope of traditional insurance. If your employer no longer offers Dental or Vision care, Benefit Together can save you money on those services. Chiropractic and alternative medicine (for instance, acupuncture) is often not included by insurance, but Benefit Together provides significant discounts for those services. Even if you have Dental insurance, for example, there may be services that are not included such as dental implants, for which you can receive a significant discount through Benefit Together. You may be able to use your card for prescription drugs not included by your insurance. You can save on vitamins and supplements, medical and diabetic supplies, hearing services and hearing aids, and even care for your family pet. Please remember that the Benefit Together discount plans are not insurance and may offer discounts on many services not included in traditional indemnity plans.

Q. Can I use Benefit Together for my doctor co-payments?
No, Benefit Together doesn’t discount medical doctor services or include co-pays for dentists or eye doctors. However, in some cases you may be able to take advantage of the telephone consultation with a doctor through CallMD, and avoid the co-pay for a visit altogether. Although CallMD is not a substitute for seeing your doctor when you need to, you can get telephone consultation from a doctor and prescriptions for non-narcotic medications.

Q. I’m not a member, but am interested to see providers near me. How do I do that?
To see participating providers for your area visit, click on the “Our Provider Partners” and click on the “Find Provider” link. You can pick the type of healthcare service you are interested in and find providers in your area.

Q. What do I do if I feel the provider overcharged me?
You can send a copy of your bill and a written letter to our administrator of the plan, Careington International Corporation, Attn: Provider Relations, P.O. Box 2568, Frisco, TX 75034. They will investigate your inquiry, and you will be contacted regarding the findings.

Q. What do I do if I have a complaint about a provider?
Please submit all issues in writing, including a copy of your bill. You may fax them to (972) 335-3968, or you may mail them to Careington, Attention: Member Services, 7400 Gaylord Pkwy, Frisco, Texas, 75034. Call Member Services at (800) 290-0523 for help with any concerns you may have.

Q. Once I select a provider, am I assigned to that provider? How often can I change providers?
Another great feature of the discount plan is your ability to select any provider from the network. You can change providers at any time, and household members can select their own participating providers. Call Member Services at (800) 290-0523 for help finding participating providers or visit, click on the “Our Provider Partners” and click on the “Find Provider” link.

Q. How do I cancel my membership?
You may submit a cancellation request in writing or through the “Contact Us” tab of the website ( You can cancel within the first 30 days and receive a full refund less your non-refundable application processing fee. For cancellations after the first 30 days, members who are billed monthly will stop receiving monthly charges and Members who paid the annual amount will receive a pro-rated refund.

2. (800) 381-0071 is the Benefit Together Member Advocate number. Call this number if you have any unresolved questions from member services or need to reach us for other questions or issues, including cancellation requests, requests for additional cards, or to join Benefit Together.
